By the time that LORD took to the stage, the room had swelled to close to 100 punters out for a good night. Still touring their second album 'Set In Stone', the band were visibly stoked to be playing 'on a night like this', one of the last Australian shows before they take on Japan. Half the stage consisting of tables didn't deter the quartet from launching into a blistering set, opening with 'Through The Fire' and 'Redemption'.
Whilst the majority of the crowd were hesitant to step up to the stage, that didn't stop a few dozen punters head-banging and windmilling their way to glory, all of whom were quite obviously excited to have a band like LORD play in a small pub in Goulburn.
Highlights of the night included bassist Andy Dowling waltzing precariously across wobbly tables set up as the makeshift stage. Other highlight's being the inclusion of the gloriously catchy '100 Reasons', 'Storm Chaser' and 'Footsteps In The Sand'. The crowd cheered for more, and LORD delivered, ending their set with 'I Am Death', breaking into their cover of Kylie Minogue's 'On A Night Like This' during the mid-section of the song.
With that the show ended and the crowd headed towards the bar, all of them stoked at having witnessed one of Australia's premier acts.
